AuthPro is a third party program used by Water Gardens to provide login security on their Google Sites website. Google Sites websites do not provide built in security, all pages are public. So security has to be added. AuthPro, located at AuthPro.com provides a very useful login capability, and allows role-based access to members of the community.
Here are the login credentials for the Water Gardens Authpro.com Account:
Website: https://authpro.com
Username: WaterGardens55
Password: over55over55over55
We store private login information at AuthPro.com. AuthPro allows us to register users, and limit access to private portions of our website. We allow self registration, but they come in as "Suspended", and must be converted to "Active" by an administrator (us). This lets us control who gets on our website, but it lets the user control their login name and password.
Below is a link to a very informative YouTube video, which pretty much explains how we use AuthPro for private logins on our own site.
When people login via AuthPro successfully, ie with correct username and password, then they are sent to a "success url", which means, the URL of the Private Menu page. Now, the success URL of the regular Private Menu is set up as the DEFAULT in AuthPro. That means, leaving the success URL "blank" in AuthPro will automatically set it to the regular Private Menu URL.
However, if the person is to be an Administrator, then the URL below for Administrators MUST be copied into the Success URL field in AuthPro manually. This can be done at any time, but when an Administrator is "activated", that would be the usual time to update their success URL from the default, to the "administrators" URL.
Here is the Login Success URL for Administrators, which is the URL of the Administrators Private Menu:
Here is the Login Success URL for regular residents, which is the URL of the regular residents Private Menu:
Once a person has registered, and Administrator must go into AuthPro, and EDIT the new registration as follows:
Mark them "VERIFIED"
Change their DELETION status to "NO CHANGE", and to value 0 (zero)
Be sure to UPDATE CHANGES.
