Dear Resident,
Urgent reminder to residents to please come to the MV City Council meeting on Monday, February 12th at 7pm at the Lake Wilderness Lodge right on Lake Wilderness. There is a large parking lot. If you came before, please come again. If you haven't come before, please consider supporting your neighbors and put it on your calendar to come.
Last September, the Mayor of Maple Valley and his city manager, Tawni, gave us a timeline and a promise that the business next door would be shut down by January. That does not seem to be happening. Even the Mayor was unaware that the council's directives were not being followed, and he also wants us to show up in support.
Denise Wissbrod made a presentation a recent city council meeting, where she said that the noise and fumes from the businesses reduced the value of each of the 12 home surrounding the businesses by $50,000 each. That means that having those noxious illegal businesses next door reduces our total community value by 12 homes times $50,000, or $600,000.
So your Water Gardens neighbors need your support. Please come. If you need a ride, please feel free to call Roger Matthews for car pool information.
Thanks
John Graham and Roger Matthews
