Hi all
Be sure to go to the Maple Valley City Council Calendar, and look at the Agenda.
We had a question about whether it was a people meeting or a Zoom only meeting. Here is Tawni's reply, and update message.
Happy Veteran’s Day,
Thanks for the photos last week Roger. I wanted to give you all an update.
Our building official and a police officer were able to get on site on Thursday and ran registration on all the cars. Not surprisingly, most of the cars were registered in all parts of the state. Per our code, we are required to send certified letters to each of the registered owner for the cars that are inoperable which we will do next week. They believe there are about six. Once letters are received, they have 10 days to contact us to arrange relocation. If they don’t, we will have them towed offsite. Carlos Mosquera, the owner is also investigating legal ways in which he can remove the vehicles as well because he will be charged for the city’s cost of removing the cars. He sent us a text screen shot in which he offered his renters $3000 to move, but they refused the offer. He is moving forward in the process to evict.
He is also looking for another site for his gate business. We will be ready on Dec 3 to issue a notice of violation if he hasn’t ceased with his onsite gate business.
Water Gardens residents are welcome to attend the special council meeting on November 13 starting at 7:30. It will be located at Lake Wilderness Lodge in the same Maple Room again. I will give a similar update to Council at this meeting.
Best,
Tawni
