This website was originally built with Joomla, but the recent Tech Committee has determined that it is not sustainable to keep it on Joomla, as the learning curve is too high. So it has been transferred to a Google Sites platform, with a substantially lower learning curve. This is to achieve freedom from "indispensable people", and to ensure the longevity of the website.
The Water Gardens Google Site website is based on the watergardens55@gmail.com account. So these login credentials are for that account:

This is a Google Sites website, so knowing how to build and manage a Google Site is a basic requirement. In addition, we use AuthPro to manage security, so it is essential to be able to administer AuthPro.
There are three general components to a Google Site: Themes, Pages and Inserts.
Themes - Themes basically control the color of the menu panel, and the fonts used in the titles and body. We have chosen a theme which provides a beige menu panel color. Other options provide a green or blue menu panel, or a black menu panel. Themes can be easily played with, though it is preferred you set it back to the them we are using, titled "Impression".
Pages - Pages serve a dual purpose. Each page is an article. Each page is also a menu item. If you "hide from navigation" a menu item, then it disappears off the menu. You can also have "menu sections" which appear on the menu, but do not have a page. They are used for creating menu headers. Further information on pages will be discussed later in this article.
Inserts - Once you have created a "page", it is an empty blank slate. You can fill this page with a wide variety of "inserts", from simple text boxes to images to documents and spreadsheets from Google Drive, and slideshows from Google Albums. You can insert Google Forms, image carousels, and URLs of any sort. This lets you build pages that serve a wide variety of purposes.
